Cheryl Warrick

Cheryl Warrick, born in 1956 in St. Albans, New York received a BFA in painting at the Massachusetts College of Art. This Boston-based painter uses acrylic and mixed media works to combine African pattern making traditions with American quilt making and Western landscape painting to create her pieces. Warrick’s art is in the permanent collection of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Boston Institute for Contemporary Art, Rhode Island School of Design, Harpo Productions (Oprah Winfrey), Lucent Technologies, and the Rose Art Museum. She is currently working on her Wisdom Series, a project she began in the 1990s that observes the elements of visual and verbal languages in order to “explore the nature of our knowledge.”
