Jill Bokor has been interested in jewelry since she made her first pop-it bead necklace in the early 60’s. Today, Bokor, a former art and design magazine publisher, seeks out the best in contemporary design jewelry.
The gallery’s collections of fine jewelry showcases work by artists from New York to California, from Texas to Paris. Master goldsmith Orhan Gurhan, who is famous for his hand hammered 24-karat gold is constantly in demand. She also showcases the work of California metalsmith Sarah Graham, known for her distinctive work in 18-karat white and yellow gold and blackened steel—unique pieces with a strong organic element. Greatly admired, too, is the work of Ray Griffiths an Australian designer who got his start fashioning tiaras Down Under. Reinstein/Ross, New York goldsmiths known for their 22-karat granulated gold jewelry are also perpetual favorites. Other featured goldsmiths are Texas designer Elizabeth Showers and New York goldsmith Stephanie Albertson
The gallery also showcases various collections in silver, notably Shana Lee, a Columbia County, NY silversmith whose edgy yet sophisticated designs are highly sought after, Rina Young a New York City designer makes unique pieces in corkscrew shaped silver.
Jill is always looking for interesting fashion jewelry, as well. There is always a wide selection of work in vermeil, in pewter, beading and swarovski crystal. We encourage you to look at our carefully selected jewelry priced from $75--$10,000.
